Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday said that AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi is competent and has the ability to become the prime minister of the country.
Speaking to mediapersons in Rohtak, Hooda said: “Rahul Gandhi is a respected leader of the Congress and he is following the footsteps of his father Rajiv Gandhi to fulfill his dreams.”
Answering queries on corruption, the chief minister said that the state government was taking prompt action in graft cases and many wings like the crime cell, vigilance and CID were working apart from the local police to curb the menace. Asking people to come forward to fight against corruption, Hooda said that every body should cooperate with the government and the administration in eradicating this evil. “The Lokayukta has been appointed in Haryana and Justice (retd.) Pritam Pal is working in this capacity. In case of any complaint about corruption or bribery, people could approach the Lokayukta,” he added.
Hooda said the state government had made a provision for written examination before interview at the time of recruitment for government jobs to ensure transparency. This will also facilitate job opportunities to promising youths from all sections of the society. “For me, every child and youth of the state is equal and it is my aim to provide equal employment opportunities to all children,” he said.
